Why is Water Tolerance Important?
Water tolerance is the ability of a fluid to absorb excess moisture and keep it suspended in the oil — away from metal parts. Free water can promote rusting, accumulate in low spots and freeze, resulting in restricted flow and pump cavitation. Also, additive separation could lead to loss of performance and filter plugging.
