Fred Rodkey II, manager of Rodkey New Holland in Rossville, IN, worked with the local FFA members to restore a 1930 CC Case Tractor for the 2013 Delo Tractor Restoration Competition. The tractor was original sold by his grandpa in the fall of 1929. This was also the first CC tractor in the state of Indiana. Check out this video to view their restoration process:

Another Successful Field Day!
On Aug. 7 the NH Field Day held at the North Manchester Poet plant was a huge success. Over 300 guests attended to see a broad range of New Holland equipment, hear presentations on the importance of renewable fuels, take a plant tour and hear about legislative efforts to protect the Renewable Fuels Standard. New Holland is the only farm equipment company to support the efforts of Growth Energy and is the only Platinum Level sponsor. Other sponsors include a variety of seed, fertilizer and chemical suppliers and end-users ranging from Dupont and Monsanto to NASCAR.
The Indiana New Holland dealerships and support the efforts to advocate use of American-produced fuels such as ethanol. We’re appreciative of the Poet company for their efforts and in particular, the opportunity to work with the North Manchester Poet staff headed by manager Steve Pittman. Come in to our New Holland stores to learn about our Producer’s Club. New Holland is making a contribution to the Growth Energy effort for every New Holland sale to a member of the club. Farmers who buy DDG’s or sell corn to a plant that is a Growth Energy member get additional discounts and also trigger this monetary contribution. Now that supply of corn is pressuring prices it is apparent that those companies such as New Holland that worked to protect the biofuels market had the foresight to advocate farmer’s interests when many said that the drought justified pulling the biofuels products off the market. We’re proud to be a part of the New Holland efforts and appreciate the opportunity to partner with our customers.
Congrats Devon Clawson on your new NH CR8080 with SMARTTRAX!
Devon Clawson of Jamestown, IN is the proud owner of the new CR8080 combine shown here equipped with New Holland’s SMARTTRAX option. The SMARTTRAX system provides a shorter turning radius (comparable to a combine equipped with single 900X32 tires), smoother ride and about 60% less compaction than dual tires. Putting a smart traction system under a combine with the cleanest sample gives Devon the best of the best combine performance in the neighborhood. Congratulations to
Devon on his purchase of the CR8080 with SMARTTRAX!

FCYLA Visits New Holland Rochester
Yesterday, the Fulton County Youth Leadership Academy (FCYLA) met at New Holland Rochester to meet with Jim Straeter in order to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation. He gave a an excellent speech to the kids about the courage it takes to put the hard work, effort, and some acceptance of failure in the process of succeeding. After talking about his own innovations, the Cornrower and designing solar panels that can be affordable for the average consumer, the kids came up with some of their own ideas and inventions. Anderson’s Buy – New Holland Donates!
Phil Anderson (seated) and brother Jim Anderson of Mentone, IN recently purchased the new Boomer 3050 at the 2013 Rocky Mountain Elk Convention. The $40,000.00 paid for the tractor, which was donated by New Holland, goes to the Elk Association. The Boomer 3050 features the New Holland-exclusive CVT all-mechanical drive transmission. The attractive Camo decals and Super-Suite cab made this tractor attractive to the Andersons, but the fact that the proceeds of their purchase goes to the Elk Association was especially attractive.
The donation of this Boomer 3050 tractor by New Holland to help a special cause continues a New Holland tradition. In 2012, over $500,000.00 was raised for the Wounded Warrior program by the New Holland donation of Jay Leno’s ‘Lil Tug’ Boomer tractor. New Holland Rochester is proud to represent a brand that supports worthwhile causes and it’s nice to see Hoosiers like the Anderson’s participate in that effort!
You won’t see a New Holland T8 tractor take an unscheduled break!
With fuel-saving SCR Tier IV technology our tractors keep on working when competitors’ tractors using CEGR (cooled exhaust gas regeneration) technology have to ‘take a break’ to regenerate. If you had to breath air you just exhaled, you’d need a break too. CEGR engines, like the name implies, cool exhaust gas and then take it back in to the engine. New Holland’s
SCR based engines take in 100% fresh air.
Our snappy high-torque engines use less fuel (up to 20% less than our Tier III models that they replaced!), start easier and keep on working!
New Holland T8 tractors offer the longest wheelbase and suspended cabs. You get a great ride, excellent balance, and fuel economy unmatched by any other brand!
