Attend a New Holland Ride and Drive Event 4-30-16

Are you interested in owning a skid steer or compact tractor for getting work done easier around the house, such as hauling dirt or heavy rocks, hooking up a pull behind mower to cut large areas of land, pushing snow in the winter, or baling hay in the summer? We are going to be holding a New Holland Ride and Drive event Saturday, April 30th, to give anyone interested in owning a New Holland tractor a chance to get on the machine and become familiar with it.

FCYLA Visited Ag Technologies to learn about Innovation

The Fulton County Youth Leadership Academy (FCYLA) visited Ag Technologies, Inc. today to learn from Jim Straeter, founder and President of New Holland Rochester, about innovation. The FCYLA group is made up of junior high school students that live in Fulton County and spend the year visiting various places in the community to learn about leadership and what we have to offer before they make their journey off to college.

With several inventions and patents under his belt, Jim was able to share a number of stories on his years of experience as an innovator. The group learned today about Straeter’s patented Cornrower and solar systems that we currently sell. Both products have had years of research and development in an effort to become the successful products they are today.

We appreciate the group coming out and learning about Jim’s experiences and hope they learned about what it takes to innovate!

New Holland CR9.90 vs. John Deere S690

New Holland commissioned the Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) to conduct independent combine productivity comparison tests on Model Year 2015 New Holland CR9.90 Elevation and John Deere S690 combines.

PAMI has 40 years of experience testing harvesting equipment in various locations worldwide with a specialty in Western Canadian crops and conditions. The combines were tested in September 2015 in wheat and canola in Saskatchewan. Testing focused on harvesting productivity and fuel consumption efficiency.

Summary of Results:

  • New Holland has a 4% better harvesting productivity in wheat and up to 10% in canola.
  • The CR Elevation combine harvested 9% more grain per gallon of fuel and DEF than Deere S690.
  • There is an incredible difference of 13% gallons of fuel per acre in wheat and a 9% difference in the canola. On a 5,000-acre farm with 2,500 acres of wheat and 2,500 acres of canola, this would translate to a savings of up to $18,000 CAD per year (or approximately $13,000 USD) just by using the New Holland combine — a savings of $3.60 per acre!
