The NH 392 is a GNSS receiver capable of a wide range of accuracy levels that can be installed as an aftermarket upgrade. The NH 392 receiver is available for tractors, combines, sprayers and more. The NH 392 can utilize WAAS and RangePoint® RTX (subscription purchased separately). CenterPoint® RTX, CenterPoint VRS and RTK correction signals can be utilized with additional activation levels.
Applications
The NH 392 receiver is the successor to the NH 372 receiver and will work in all the applications that utilize the NH 372 receiver with minimal harness changes. There are no major hardware changes when working with today’s IntelliSteer systems. The NH 392 is reverse compatible in all but a few applications where the NH 372 was used.
NH 392 receiver minimum firmware requirements:
- Minimum display software package of version 33.xx Vehicle exe must be version 33.xx or later
- NAV III Firmware V10.0.6.4 or higher
Enhanced Functionality
The NH 392 receiver features two new enhancements:
- Support for Galileo / Beidou / QZSS satellite constellations
- Advanced GNSS Engine (ProPoint)
Benefits from the enhancements include:
- Quicker CenterPoint RTX convergence times (5 minutes vs. 20 minutes)
- Robust receiver performance when working in challenging conditions such as tree lines
- Quicker requisition times when GNSS position is interrupted

Configurations and Upgradability
The NH 392 receiver is available in 5 different configurations:
- 392 Base Accuracy Receiver with 1 Year RangePoint RTX Subscription
- 392 Base Accuracy Receiver with 3 Year CenterPoint RTX Subscription and 3 Year Term Med Accuracy Upgrade
- 392 Medium Accuracy Receiver, Permanent Upgrade, No Subscription
- 392 Medium Accuracy Receiver, Permanent Upgrade with 1 Year CenterPoint RTX Subscription
- 392 High Accuracy RTK Receiver, Permanent Upgrade, No Subscription
Permanent Accuracy upgrades are available for customers who wish to upgrade the Base or Medium accuracy receivers to a higher accuracy level after initial purchase, as well.
Enhanced Functionality
The NH 392 Receiver is compatible with:
- SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS)
- CenterPoint and RangePoint RTX
- QZSS
- RTK Correction streams in the CMR+, sCMR+, sCMR+ w/Secure RTK, CMRx, & RTCM 3.x format
RTX Correction Subscriptions/Renewals, as well as renewals for the bundled 3 Year Term Accuracy Upgrade / CenterPoint RTX subscription are sold through Trimble Positioning Services (TPS) and their authorized dealers.
RTK Radios
The NH 392 receiver utilizes the existing X-RTK radio for RTK signal reception. The X-RTK radio comes in 3 frequencies and is compatible with existing Trimble RTK Base Stations transmitting RTK Corrections via an approved Trimble® radio (internal radio or external TDL radio). The radio is magnetically fastened to a steel plate, which is attached to the vehicle roof panel via adhesive strips.
Note: The cable that connects the RTK radio to the NH 392 receiver is not included in the kits and must be ordered separately.
xFill
xFill functionality is included with the NH 392 receiver. xFill provides for up to 20 minutes of extended operation in cases of RTK correction signal outage by utilizing RTX correction during the bridge period. While xFill is active, the receiver continues to reacquire RTK corrections and resumes normal operation when reacquired for seamless operation.
For customers who need longer extended operating periods due to RTK interruptions, xFill Premium subscriptions are available for purchase through Trimble Positioning Services.
Receiver Mounting Plate
A new receiver mounting plate is used for the NH 392. The new plate interfaces with the quick latch mounting bracket that comes as part of the CNH vehicle Guidance Ready option.
Note: The mounting plate is not included as part of the base receiver and must be ordered separately where required.
Adapter Cables
Since the electrical connectors on the NH 392 are different than those on the NH 372, an adapter cable may be required, depending on vehicle platform.
Y Cable: Used on tractor applications that are wired for a NH 372 receiver – with 2 – 12 Pin Deutsch connectors. The Y Cable ensures that GNSS position is put on the Implement CAN bus.
NTRIP Cable: Used on tractor applications that contain factory wiring at the roof connector for NTRIP delivery to the receiver. NTRIP cable is used in conjunction with the Y-Cable to make the proper connections from the vehicle harness to the NTRIP port of the NH 392 receiver.
