We would like to invite you to a Growth Energy event hosted by Dow Chemical at the North Manchester POET plant on Tuesday 9/15. Come join us for a pre-harvest grower appreciation lunch, as Growth Energy members POET, Mycogen, and New Holland will be discussing issues facing the ethanol industry as well as new products and programs designed to benefit corn producers.
Agenda:
11:00 – 11:05: Introduction
11:05 – 11:20: Overview of the GE/Mycogen Partnership & Marketing Offer
On Aug. 7 the NH Field Day held at the North Manchester Poet plant was a huge success. Over 300 guests attended to see a broad range of New Holland equipment, hear presentations on the importance of renewable fuels, take a plant tour and hear about legislative efforts to protect the Renewable Fuels Standard. New Holland is the only farm equipment company to support the efforts of Growth Energy and is the only Platinum Level sponsor. Other sponsors include a variety of seed, fertilizer and chemical suppliers and end-users ranging from Dupont and Monsanto to NASCAR.
The Indiana New Holland dealerships and support the efforts to advocate use of American-produced fuels such as ethanol. We’re appreciative of the Poet company for their efforts and in particular, the opportunity to work with the North Manchester Poet staff headed by manager Steve Pittman. Come in to our New Holland stores to learn about our Producer’s Club. New Holland is making a contribution to the Growth Energy effort for every New Holland sale to a member of the club. Farmers who buy DDG’s or sell corn to a plant that is a Growth Energy member get additional discounts and also trigger this monetary contribution. Now that supply of corn is pressuring prices it is apparent that those companies such as New Holland that worked to protect the biofuels market had the foresight to advocate farmer’s interests when many said that the drought justified pulling the biofuels products off the market. We’re proud to be a part of the New Holland efforts and appreciate the opportunity to partner with our customers.
New Holland is the only farm equipment company that stepped up to the plate and worked hard to help Growth Energy promote US-Farm sourced ethanol and other bio-fuels during times of high grain prices. Now that supply is pressuring prices the successful efforts to keep the Renewable Fuels Standard in place, promote E-15 and other ethanol blends and counter efforts to paint bio-fuels as bad business are providing markets farmers need. At New Holland Rochester, we’re proud to be a part of the Growth Energy effort. We’re promoting Food and Fuel with the new Cornrower windrowing corn head.
